Remote Year aka My Biggest Adventure Yet

Certainly, travel is more than the seeing of sights; it is a change that goes on, deep and permanent, in the ideas of living.” ― Miriam Beard

You know what they say...it isn't official until it's social media official!

LIFE UPDATE:

I am thrilled to announce that I been accepted into a program called Remote Year and will be spending the next year traveling the world!

<<full candor: I'm still totally in shock>>

What the heck is Remote Year?

Ah, yes. The question that has now moved to the #1 spot of FAQs asked by my friends, family, and professional network. (Moving "What is it exactly that you do now?" to the #2 spot, followed closely by "Are you ever not traveling?" in 3rd.)

The answer is simple: Remote Year is pretty much the most awesome freakin' opportunity ever created.

But if that answer just isn't enough for ya, I'll answer it directly from the horse's mouth:

Remote Year brings together communities of interesting professionals, entrepreneurs, and freelancers from across the globe to spend a year working, traveling, and exploring 12 cities around the world. Spending one month in each location, communities connect with local cultures and business ecosystems, forming lifelong, borderless personal and professional relationships along the way. Together we are shaping the future of work.

Remote Year first launched in 2015 and has gained so much popularity that it now has programs of approx. 50-80 people leaving almost monthly! Each group is named with an awesome untranslatable word (one of my secret obsessions) and I'm pumped to be part of the Yugen group kicking off on July 30th in Split, Croatia!
